The Opening Ceremony of the 1st ASEAN Youth Dialogue themed: “Youth in the Era of Fourth Industrial Revolution: Opportunities and Challenges in Post-Pandemic Recovery”, presided over by H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

On 24-27 July 2022, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Kingdom of Cambodia and ASEAN Secretariat jointly organize the First ASEAN Youth Dialogue in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. Funded by ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund, the dialogue is held under the theme “Youth in the Era of Fourth Industrial Revolution: Opportunities and Challenges in Post-Pandemic Recovery.” The dialogue is participated by approximately 200 delegates consisting of Youth Ministers and high-level representatives of national agencies responsible for youth sector, representatives of the ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Youth (SOMY), 75 youth delegates from AMS and ROK, and delegates from relevant government agencies, NGOs/CSOs, academic institutions, research institutes and private sectors. The dialogue is chaired by H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron (Minister of Education, Youth and Sport and ASCC Chair), H.E. Hun Many (President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia), and H.E. Dato Lim Jock Hoi (Secretary General of ASEAN). The ASEAN Youth Dialogue aims to create a platform for the youths of ASEAN and ROK to engage in meaningful policy discourse by participating in dialogue sessions with ASEAN-ROK Ministers and key high-level dialogue partners.
